SPECIFICATION
Convergent billing system though simple in concept requires as a preparation for a RFP process a comprehensive set of speciation that defines the functionalities of the system. TRENDcom over the years has collected thousand of technical specification “line Items” that describes the functional requirements of specific functionality in a convergent billing system
SELECTION
Through a matrix comparison of line items with their own weight factor, each item will be individually scored and totalized to determine the ranking order of each solution provider. To avoid the phenomenon that each vendor will just score yes for each line a panel of TRENDcom expert will also score all the individual line items based on her unique and thorough industry knowledge, past experience with vendor’s implementation at other operators and the architecture proposed.
Pricing comparisons are performed and benchmarked against current industry pricing models which TRENDcom is able to monitor through her intimate interactions with Operators and vendors in the Asia Pacific regions. Also large deviations of pricing schemes between vendors for the some deliverables will be assessed to ensure that the scope is in line with the requirements.
IMPLEMENTATION
TRENDcom takes leadership in this activity by providing expertise in the areas of PMO project management, System Integration, conducting implementation and integration workshops, elaborate testing, migrations from legacy prepaid and postpaid platforms and least but not least a solid cutover plan with multiple go- and no-go gates to ensure minimal disruptions of services to the existing customer base.
TRENDcom has successfully migrated the traditional postpaid and prepaid systems to fully Convergence Customer Care & Billing system (C3B) from existing legacy systems in the following type sequences; Voucher Management and Recharge system, followed subsequently by IN1, IN2, IN3, CRM, Postpaid Billing, Business Intelligence, etc.

Based on industry reports the revenue losses can exceed as high as 20% of total revenue dependable on the stage of maturity of the operator.
