Factors to consider when building an OSS/BSS business case

The telecom industry/operators bottom lines are under pressure, pressure unlike any time before.

Changes in technology, markets and customer expectations are imposing massive demands on business delivery platforms while revenues from traditional services are rapidly declining.

Operators urgently require strategic partners who are able to provide solutions which meet the business requirements (churn, ROI, profit etc.).  It is important that the business remains on track and that technology provides the productivity and creativity that supports the business in a cost effective way.

Billing providers offer attractive but complex and expensive solutions, that many operators are confused by.  Often these solutions, simply put are not appropriate and will not provide the return required for such an investment.  However, to do nothing is often not an option as competition is fierce.

It is our experience that a thorough analysis of the market conditions/drivers, the company processes and the future trends  etc have to to be undertaken.  Only then can you be sure that the business case for such an investment is complete, appropriate and that it will meet the demands of the business.  Not  just the demands of today but for tomorrow as well.
